Arcadia is a 100% superwash Merino yarn. It is classified as an upcycled yarn - this is how my yarn provider describes the process of creating this lovely base:
"What does Upcycled mean? Well... for this yarn range it refers to the Merino fibre that's unused at the end of a spin run, so for example, if the mill were making a 1000 kilos of yarn, it's likely they would have a few kilos of leftover fibres, this excess gets collected together and saved for us. "
Although upcycled, this yarn really is of high quality, and I am able to offer it at a lower price than my other yarns. In order to keep production costs down, the colours will mainly be semi solid shades rather than more complex colourways of many colours.
