From the purple dyeshed...

Strangely enough we've been having mild temperatures over the past week, which, given it is the 1st day in November, feels a little odd.   But look at the landscape, and the signs that winter is approaching are all too clear.  Mushrooms are to be found all over the place at the moment



and the bracken has lost all the green it had over the summer, and is now the eponymous colour - although I don't believe Dulux got the colour quite right!



The trees that protect the Old Soldier's have almost lost all their leaves the we'll soon see the remains of his house easily



and there are just a few bell heather flowers still in colour, but you have to look hard to see them



But we are treated to some of the best sunsets at this time of year
