Do you want a ticket to Edinburgh Yarn Festival?

The organisers of the Edinburgh Yarn Festival have very kindly given me TWO WEEKEND ENTRY TICKETS to give away. These arrived today, and I thought I'd better come up with some clever competition really quickly to give you the chance to win one of these tickets before booking opened tomorrow, but I couldn't think of anything clever! So instead, if you're planning to go to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival in March, simply leave a comment at the bottom of this entry saying why you're looking forward to the event, and all those who leave a comment will have their names put into the proverbial hat, and I'll have an unbiased adjudicator (i.e. Stevan) pull two names out of the said hat.

But be quick! You have until Noon (UK time) tomorrow (1st February) to get your comment in and be in with a chance of winning one of the two tickets. And if you're planning to come to the event from abroad, please do enter too.

The long list of exciting vendors who are going to be at the event is reason enough to want to go, but I'm sure you'll think of other reasons! And remember, this prize is a ticket for the full weekend, not just for a day. So you will have time to browse all the stands (but, of course, the Ripples Crafts stand too!) at your leisure.

I'm very excitedly looking forward to EYF even more so this time because it will be so much bigger than the last time. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting up with new friends fir the first time, seeing all my favourite vendors again, meeting some new ones and spending a whole weekend thinking/breathing/living yarn and just hanging out. I can't wait especially as it's so close to home for me.

I'm feeling the urge to head North and visit Scotland again! I'm just waiting for my boss to confirm my holiday request - I've asked for a week off hoping to combine a visit to EYF with return visits to Loch Lomond & New Lanark. If it's not agreed I'm hoping to make a flying visit just for the weekend. I really miss not seeing my Scotland based friends.

The first EdYarnFest was brilliant and the wait for the second one has seemed like forever
The chance to meet all the exhibitors and to talk craft with them will be worth the wait.

Obviously I'm excited for all the fab vendors but mostly I'm excited about meeting some of the fabulous people I chat to on Twitter and Ravelry I. Real 3D life!!!

I'm very much looking forward to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival - missed the first one as I was away at the time but hoping to make up for it this year with much perusing of stalls and yarns (and buying too probably!) Fingers crossed for the ticket draw... great idea.

What isn't to look forward to. My sisters are coming to stay, one from the north, one from the south and Edinburgh for the weekend. We're booked into a class with Ysolda and we've been saving our money for lovely yarn buys. Can't wait to squeeze and smell yarn and dream of what I will be knitting. See you there!

Looking forward to meeting up with friends from all over the world. Have investigated the vendors, made lists and saved like mad. A fabulous way to spend Mother's Day.

I am excited to take a class and hopefully learn continental style knitting. I also look forward to seeing all the vendors and smooshinf the yarn I normally only see on a screen.

My wee sis is coming up from Yorkshire specially for it and we're meeting my pal who's going to be braving Edinburgh from the big city in the West!! All looking forward to bankrupting ourselves at the show!

Fleece, fibre, dye, spin, ply, yarn, warp, weft, weave. but enough about me! The inspiration of all those people who have the same love of all things woolly as I do will make the Edinburgh Yarn Festival weekend a joy to visit.

I'm looking forward to all that gorgeous fibre and yarn all in one place, and talking with people who are just as in love as I am. Though the hard part is going to be deciding what is coming home with me!
