At this time of year, on sunny days, the light can be fabulous.  Taking time to appreciate the light really can help on driegh days when everything seems grey and miserable.

Lexie has been pretty poorly this week, so Peggy and I were on our own today when we took to the hills for a short walk.  The views across to the Western Isles were stunning in the late afternoon sun path:

Peggy is sporting her new haircut beautifully, but I know that it won't be long before she dips herself in a bog to make sure she smells more like her normal self again:

I hate to mention the "C" word in mid November, but if you knit your Christmas gifts then you need to plan ahead.  With this in mind, I've released 2 new colourways that contain traditional Christmassy shades.  They have very boring names I'm afraid!  My imagination failed me this week.  So we have Christmas Colours 01 (told you it was boring!):

and yes, Christmas Colours 02.

The green was very difficult to capture on camera for some reason, and I'd say the green in the bottom picture is the truer colour - it is the same green in both hanks.  These two colourways are available for pre-order in the shop now.  They are shown in the Reliable Sock Yarn base, but if you want them on a different base, please get in touch.
