Strokkur

The photo below showing a rather crumpled red cardigan indicates that Floriston is finished! Well, the knitting is finished - she has still to be tidied up and blocked. But essentially, the really hard part is done.

And so over the weekend I had the luxury of casting on Strokkur. I have decided on the base colour (the deep, dark, rich teal)

but I have yet to decide on the contrast shades for the yoke of the sweater. Fortunately I have a bit of time to decide. I keep putting different shades together but I simply cannot make up my mind. I was sorely tempted to make the main shade Winter Beech Leaves as I really like this shade, but I wondered if it would be a little too overpowering. Maybe as a contrast though?

The grey and red really highlight that teal... but as a grey parrot companion, I might be tilted naturally toward liking those colours!

Personally, I would add the green from the first photo (upper left) and the light blue from the second photo (upper right). Or maybe the red instead of light blue - but I love the blues and green together!

I'd go for the grey and russet too - they just really seem to sing to me. All of the other 'colours' seem to take away from the depth of the teal.

I think either one of the bottom two combinations would look lovely - probably the blue and rust one. It's going to look very good!

I'd go for the bottom right combination. Great contrasts!
Will we see Strokkur at Glencanisp?

Love the bottom right colours. The teal is a glorious shade.
