I have a new yarn to introduce.

RC-160326-26102013

This is an aran weight yarn and the fibre content is 70% wool, 20% mohair and 10% silk.  It is a single ply yarn, as you can see in the photograph above, and there is approximately 130m per 100g.  I got a sample a little while ago, which I immediately dyed and knitted up into Hurricane Hat which Stevan modelled to show the spirals off at their best:

If you like the look of this pattern it is a free pattern on Ravelry.  Before I saw the sample my initial concern with this unplied yarn was that it would break easily, but in reality the silk gives it a good strength and I had to try really hard to break the yarn.  It knits up with good stitch definition and it has a very glossy finish.

The yarn will appear in the shop this week, and at the moment I have it in four colours, but I will be dyeing others as the week progresses:

I'll end with just a final reminder that there is just under 12 hours left of the saleAlso, I have one spot available if you want to join the Assynt Storms Yarn Club beginning in November.  (This has now gone - sorry.  But you can still join starting in December) If you wish your membership to start in December, then please let me know as early in November as possible as I will be dyeing the December club yarn in the first two weeks of November.
