I'm sorry it has been so quiet on the blogging front. It doesn't mean that nothing has been happening at Lockhart Towers - quite the opposite. It has been an extremely productive week. I have been busy in the dye shed producing stock in both new and old colours. But more of that later.
We have been getting out for short walks, mostly up to Lexie's Loch. Our favoured route takes us through a little glen that few people are aware of, but which always gives you enticing glimpses of Lexies as you approach it. Today it was made even more spectacular by the lovely cloud formation above the loch:
And once there, Lexie was able to refresh herself in her favourite loch.
We have had remarkably little rain over the last 6 weeks, and river and loch levels are extremely low. Although clouds keep bubbling up promising rain, they seem to come to nothing.
I have been busy dyeing sock yarn in the "Assynt Storms" range. This range has proved so popular, and I enjoy dyeing them as it is a fun way to dye. You break all the rules and get to produce colours that cannot be replicated no matter how hard you try. You put colours together that normally you wouldn't, and the method of dyeing means that they blend and produce other colours which somehow makes it all just right. The ones that I put up at the beginning of the week flew off the shelf, and so I have done more and they are up in the shop now. But here is a taster:
I'm pleased to tell you that I have been granted a stand at the Loch Ness Spring Fair on Saturday 20th April in Drumnadrochit. I'm looking forward to this as it is some time since we were in Drumnadrochit. So if you are close by, do come and say hello.

And superb colours of yarn, too.
Dorothy, you have started repeating yourself....:-)
