I'm really not one to make new year resolutions.  Instead I prefer to ponder on the year ahead (rather than on the year that has passed) and consider small changes I'd like to make.  Nothing earth shattering, just small changes that are achievable rather than big resolutions that leave you feeling guilty and disappointed when they are not achieved.

When considering my yarn and knitting for 2013, I have decided that I will concentrate on larger garments this year rather than accessories.  That doesn't mean I won't still be doing the odd small project, and I have some "works in progress" from last year which will make their appearance from time to time, but I need to build up my collection of garments.  So .... to kick-start me I put a poll up on my Ravelry group asking what I should knit with Ripples Crafts Sport weight yarn.  After some discussion the garment which got the highest number of votes was Talamh, a cardigan designed by Carol Feller.

So, let the knitting begin.  You can follow my progress on this Ravelry thread, and I know a couple of other Ravelry members are already thinking of doing the same garment.  The yarn colourway is A Dangerous Shade, which is a mix of pinks and purples.  It may not be everyone's colour choice, but it will be what fashionista's call "a statement piece".
