Yesterday we had all the family around for a traditional BBQ and I got to meet my great niece, Payton. Being a great aunt means you get to cuddle!

And I love this photograph which my niece took of my Mum and Dad with their great grand-daughter.

I apologise in advance if my blog entries are a little sporadic while I'm away on holiday, but I intend having a real rest while I'm here after what has been a rather crazily busy few months. And who wouldn't try to make the most of being well looked after by their Mum and Dad - who are doing their best to feed me up. My Mum has always been an excellent cook, and her skills have not declined over the years in any way! I have found that when I wake up at 3.00am in the morning because of the effects of jet lag, there is nothing better then making a cup of rooibos and then sitting up in bed with my book, tea and one of Mum's home made biscuits. I may come home a few pounds heavier! Being so well looked after makes me feel a little guilty, and judging by my inbox I know quite a few of you are quite concerned about Stevan's diet while I'm away from home given his blog entries on my behalf while I was on Tanera Mor. However he knows how to make a great omelette, and given how our hens are being extremely productive at the moment, he'll be eating well while I'm away. He won't really be existing on baked beans! He is also being kept extremely busy with orders at the moment, so he's got his hands full.
One last picture from our get together yesterday - a proud set of grand parents:
