I am very excited about this event. There are some really exciting stallholders, and you can see the confirmed list of attendees here. I will be there with the full range of Ripples Crafts yarns as well as Sunflower Swifts and Blocking Wire kits. But I am also very excited to have Dorothy Stewart Handwovens on my stand too, with her beautiful weaving. Dorothy uses a few of the Ripples Crafts yarns, particularly the silk, for her weaving and I am sure she will be happy to answer any questions you have about weaving or about the yarns which she uses. She will also have a number of items available for sale, so if you're looking for a luxurious gift for yourself or for someone special, do come and have a look. Dorothy sold out at the recent Pittenweem Festival, but she's working hard to build up stock so that she has some special items on the stand in October.
We've been experiencing some pretty chilly weather here in Assynt over the last few days, and my thoughts have been turning to cosy winter cardigans and garments. I am also working on a very special baby blanket for a new family arrival later this year, and I'm using the Na Dannsairean DK yarn which is so soft and cuddly - ideal for baby blankets. Here's a sneak preview:

You can find the Na Dannsarean DK here and the Aran weight here. Both are beautifully soft. I'm hoping to finish this blanket over the weekend, and then I think I'll start to think seriously about some warm winter cardigans.
