It's a busy time at this time of year if you're a farmer. In the field in front of our house we have a lot of sheep who are not only pregnant, but VERY pregnant. All of them are expecting either triplets or quads. The farmer tried to time lambing to start a little later this year in the hope that the weather would be a little more favourable, but when we opened our bedroom curtains yesterday we saw three straggly little lambs trying hard to stay warm in the grey drizzle. Fortunately Farmer Kev wasn't too far away and he soon whisked them off to a nice warm shed, away from the rain.

Today was much brighter, and the lambs enjoyed some bright sunshine.

A deer decided to join the sheep today, perhaps looking for tasty food that the farmer puts out to boost their vitamins - you'll see the orange bucket in the photo.

And talking of new lives, we will soon be starting a new phase to our lives. In July we will be moving here on a more permanent basis. You can read more of how Stevan is planning to fill his time here. My own plans are still being mulled over in my head, and I'm reluctant to say too much about them until I'm a little more certain as to exactly what they are, but you won't be surprised to know that they involve some contact with wool!

Thank you for all the compliments on Primrose in the last post. It was, indeed, one of my own hand-dyed.

Apologies for the poor photo's today and the mix of photo sizes.  I've just installed a new version of Wordpress and am having trouble getting the photo software to work.  It used to be so simple .....
