It has been a hectic couple of weeks, getting ready for the Trunk Show at A Fine Yarn in Darlington next Friday and Saturday, 13th and 14th April, after which I head straight to the Rheged Centre in Penrith for the World of Wool event taking place there.  I have been dyeing, drying, twisting, labeling, dyeing, drying, twisting, labeling, repeat.  Throw into the mix the first ...Made in Assynt fair of the year which took place yesterday, and it has all made for a rather busy time.

We were a little down on stallholder numbers yesterday due to a few being away for the Easter break, but within a few minutes of opening, folk were coming through the door looking for something special, and there was certainly quite a lot to catch their eye.  Amanda's home made hot cross buns baked at 5.00am yesterday morning flew out of the basket, as did her red onion and rosemary foccacia!

However, despite all the activity, we managed to get in a couple of good walks this week, despite the weather doing its best to put us off.

What a change in the weather!  Last week we were basking in warm, sun filled days, this week we had snow.  Not as much as others around the country have had, but it was still a shock to the system.

At one stage we were bathed in sunshine and just half a mile down the road there was a terrific snow shower.

The snow and cold did nothing to dampen Lexie's enthusiasm for her walks:

I probably won't have a chance to do another entry before leaving for Darlington and Penrith, so please do come along if you're able to and say hello.  A Fine Yarn is in Skinnergate, Darlington, and the Penrith event is taking place in the Rheged Centre which is well signposted I believe.   I'm not sure what internet access I'll have while I'm away, but Stevan will be keeping an eye on the shop site for me while I'm away.
