Wild!
We've had a bit of weather in Assynt today. We've not had as much snow as was forecast, but it has been wild nonetheless.
We tried to go out for a walk, but we hadn't gone far when hail started pelting our faces, stinging. Lexie turned tail and legged it back to the house, so we decided she probably had the right idea and hurried back in to in front of the fire.
It gave me the opportunity to continue working on Still Light, the tunic I'm knitting in the Na Dannsairean 4ply yarn. It is slow going, but I'm plodding on. I keep getting tempted by other lovely patterns such as Schoodic Cardigan, which I'm planning to swatch for in the Na Dannsairean DK the minute I finish Still Light.
And now a little insight into our local Post Office. Meet the the official Post Office Cat:
He very carefully makes sure each parcel is correctly stamped, and he really enjoys it if you have to pay by card in the card machine, as it is apparently wonderful being able to rub up against the card, making it "TWANG" while you're trying to enter your pin number.
As to the yarn at the beginning of yesterday's post - I never quite got to putting it up in the shop as it has all been bagsed. And I promise to let you in on my thoughts about the blue/turquoise yarn as soon as I can.
