The word "venomous" makes me instantly think of snakes.   Growing up in Southern Africa there were some seriously venomous snakes, and ones that weren't so venomous, but it was never worth risking your identification skills!  However this Venomous is not at all mean:

I love this little shawl.   This time of year finds me knitting like a fiend to try and get a pile of samples to have as display items at the various shows and events that I go to during the year.  This is one of the most popular colourways in the shop, Assynt Hill Tartan, and I thought it would work very well with this pattern - Venomous Tentacula. (Now I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but I believe this name has something to do with HP and his mates).

I think the pattern works beautifully with variagated yarns.  I knitted mine in the bluefaced leicester / nylon base which has approximately 425m of yarn and it is a perfect size for wrapping around your neck under a jacket.

If you would like to knit your own then the pattern is available from the link above or from Ravelry.  And if you're prefer to make it into something luxurious, but you'd like this colourway, then I have dyed some 4ply silk and it is up in the shop now.

There will be a few more colours of silk going up in the shop this evening, both in the lace weight and the 4ply.
