The Lidls car park in Tain overlooks the Dornoch Firth and Glenmorangie Distillery.
However shopping was not our only reason for the trip today. We had also planned to meet up with two gentlemen, Andy and Paul, from The Alternative Energy Store

They had kindly agreed to meet us in Tain on their way back to Warrington from a job on Orkney in order to hand over our 2 new solar panels and save us over £100 for delivery charges.
With the weather due to deteriorate rapidly over the next couple of days as we collect the tail end of a hurricane, I'm not sure when they'll be installed by Stevan, but I'll try and remember to take photographs when the work happens. I'm looking forward to having them installed as it will mean that I don't have to rely on neighbours to help me start our very anti-female petrol generator when Stevan is away.
And while I'm fond of Tain, it was lovely to get back to the west and the familiar sight of the tiny, tree covered islands that are a common sight in Loch Assynt:

And finally, a gentle reminder that the new yarn base in the shop (Bluefaced Leicester 4ply) will rise to its normal price tomorrow after the introductory price period is over. So don't miss out on a bargain if you were hoping to try this yarn.
