If I'm entirely honest, it hasn't been the best summer that Assynt has ever experienced.  It hasn't been awful, but just a bit ....... bleh!  But this morning summer arrived.  Bright blue skies, sunny and warm, and, the true sign of summer, midges.

While working on my shed on the club yarn for next week, I had some company.  First were Hagitha and Esmarelda:

Once they had snacked on the little treat I'd put out for them, Peggy and Lexie came to see what was happening, with Lexie deciding the doorway was the ideal spot for getting a few rays:

Once they deserted me, I only had the nasturtiums which have finally come into flower at the entrance to the workshop, still glistening from the overnight rain:

But there is no doubting the fact that autumn isn't too far away.  Despite the blue skies there was an early morning chill in the air, and the bell heather is now in full flower which is a clear indicator of summer not lasting too much longer:

One of these companions offered me the inspiration I needed for this months club yarn - but I'm not saying which!

On the shop front - I have restocked the shelves with the 1 month mini-skein yarn club.  The first batch sold rather quickly, so I've added some more for your pleasure.
