Katrina and Ian have been enjoying the surrounding countryside which is completely different to where they live in Florida.  We took advantage of a sunny day today to walk along the cliffs between Clachtoll and Stoer beaches.  From the house we made our way to Clachtoll beach, stopping only to admire the very impressive Highland Bull in a nearby field.



Clachtoll is famous for it's split rocks (which is what Clachtoll means):



The weather was perfect for exploring the cliffs between Clachtoll Beach and Stoer Beach.  There were dark pools:



and sandy fresh water pools:



and the lichen was looking glorious and such a vibrant shade of orange:



As usual it was the sea which stole the show:



But passing the old graveyard on our way home we were reminded of the dangers of both man and sea:
