This morning saw Mungo and I set off for Perth.  The back of the land rover was packed to the gunnels, but as usual I felt pretty sure I'd forgotten something!  It was a wonderful morning for a long drive, and Scotland is looking just wonderful at the moment, with all the trees covered in that wonderful young green that appears at this time of the year.  I love this time of year, when the hills look like they're covered in velvet green.  Every now and then a heavy rain shower would come through, and if I hadn't been driving I would have taken photographs, as it was spectacular as a curtain of rain headed our way.

But enough of the waxing lyrical.  After arriving at Perth Racecourse it was down to work.  I was very fortunate to have Ann come all the way from Aberdeen to help me set up.  She managed to escape being in the "before" photograph:

But before long we had the bags and boxes of yarn and the tables whipped into shape, and it was all looking a lot more colourful and attractive.  But of course, I forgot to take an "after" picture!  The fact that Ann had bought with her the most delicious chocolate nutty biscuits and dark, chocolatey small cakes helped!  I call it brain food.

When I left the racecourse the weather put on a wonderful display:

And after a long day I finally arrived at my wonderful B&B (a very blatant plug for the Taythorpe B&B - wonderful rooms and very kind, warm hosts), with fantastic views across the Tay.  Just the view to sooth a tired mind.

I'm looking forward to meeting friends and customers old and new tomorrow.  And a huge thank you again to Ann for all her help and support this afternoon!
