The Primroses have been glorious this year.  There are so many of them.  When you're out walking in the hills it is really difficult not to tread on them no matter how careful you try not to.  Stevan had spotted a clump of primroses when he was out walking a week or so ago, but we'd not made it back to see them as I was still finding walking tiring after my bout of cold and coughing, and this particular clump of primroses were a little more inaccessible than most.   From a distance they didn't look much and they were on a narrow, steep ledge:

Looking down on a few primroses didn't do anything to ease my nervousness at our location either:

Stevan has always had an excellent head for heights, so I let him go up the last bit on his own, but Lexie kept a close eye on him:

But the reward was a wonderful view of wild primroses:

And a lovely view of one of our favourite spots in Assynt, the Old Soldiers:

It reminded me that a couple of years ago I started to do a Primrose colourway.  Perhaps I should reintroduce it:

Anyone want some primroses of their own?
