When I was growing up, I remember feeling rather poorly one day, and it was a day that we were due to have an outing to the beach (I still remember - it was Bloubergstrand).  My parents debated the pro's and con's of cancelling the outing, and in the end it was decided that a bit of sea air would probably do me more good than harm.  And it did!  I remember feeling a lot better for being out in the stiff sea breeze - and there is almost always a stiff breeze at Bloubergstrand.  My Mum carefully wrapped me up warmly and I was none the worse for our outing.

Well, today I wasn't feeling too well.  Nothing more than a sore throat and feeling a bit 'fluey, but when Stevan suggested we head down to the beach at Clachtoll with the dogs, I immediately agreed.

We're so fortunate with our beaches.  They are always picturesque, no matter what the weather.  And today was no exception:

At this time of year you're pretty much assured of having the beach to yourself too, which is always a bonus if you want the dogs to have a good run.  And while Stevan went for a bit of a jog:

I took my time leisurely ambling along.

It gave me a chance to photograph the magnificent display of sun rays:

It has been a very productive week in the workshop, and for those of you who may have missed my tweets or have not seen my postings on the Ripples Crafts Ravelry Group, then I should tell you that I've added two new yarns to the shop.  One is a 100% high twist Falkland Merino yarn, and the other is also a Falkland Merino, also high twist, but in this case it is 80% wool and 20% nylon, so ideal for socks.  Here is a wee glimpse of my favourite from this week's dyeing:

I have also added some pure Bluefaced leicester double knitting.
