Today we took a trip across to the East Coast, as there was a small fibre fest being held in Dornoch.  While there were some extremely tempting things, the one thing that tempted me most of all was this:

Angora Rabbits - a whole basket full of them:

I think these were one of the softest, cuddliest animals I have ever had the luck to hold.  And if it were not for the fact that we have two terriers in the house who would not think much of us bringing them home I would have had one or two!   Sadly, though, Peggy is a serious rabbit hunter and these little ones would prove too much of a temptation for her no matter how much we tried to convince her otherwise.

Some of these are looking for new homes, so if you live nearby and think you'd like to have one of these lovely creatures, then the person to contact is Lucy Williams and you can find her contact details on her website www.lucywilliamstextiles.co.uk

This one is only 5 weeks old:

Lucy was telling me that she clips them for their fibre ever 7 weeks or so.

I think I am smitten!
