Ripples Crafts (along with me and Mungo) is on the road again.  I'll be setting off bright and early tomorrow morning to get to Cromarty to attend the "Wooden it be Nice" fair which is being organised by the Cromarty Arts Trust and will be held at The Stables in Cromarty.  The fair takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of November from 10.00am.  There will also be mince pies and mulled wine!

I'm really looking forward to this fair, as Cromarty is one of my favourite places.  I have a photo from a few years back when we were on our way up to what was then still our holiday home in Assynt, and Stevan had to stop off in Cromarty to see someone, so Mungo and I (and the dogs) had time to sit and watch the sea on a beautiful crisp winter's day.  I'm glad we live here permanently now, but I used to enjoy the early morning drives up to Assynt from the Scottish Borders.   Especially in winter when the weather was like it was in the photograph.

I'll only be back in Assynt for a couple of days and I'll be packing Mungo back up again to head down to Edinburgh for a few days.  I'll be at K1 in West Bow with my yarn and I'll also be teaching a few classes in lace knitting and aran knitting.

I'm also thrilled to tell you that Get Knitted have invited me to take part in their Best of British Yarn Club.  I'm very excited about this, and I feel very privileged to have been invited to take part given the illustrious company that I have!  Other dyers include Fyberspates, Knitwitches, Natural Dye Studio, The Old Piggery and The Knitting Goddess.
