When I returned from Shetland at the beginning of September I popped into some shops on my way back up the road to Assynt.  I was both astounded and really annoyed to see that some shops already had their, let us call them "festive items" in the shops.  For goodness sake - this was September.

However, now that October is nearly over and the clocks change at the end of this week making the days a lot shorter, I've had to accept that the event which happens annually on the same day but which still catches me unawares most years is creeping up on me.   And I realised it was probably high time that I began dyeing the festive colourway of yarn again.  So if anyone wants any "yo ho ho" yarn (seen below), please get in touch and let me know which yarn base you would like it done in.
