Today I had a complete change of scene.   Not wool weaving, but willow weaving.  Top Left Corner had organised a willow weaving workshop and I went along to give myself a complete break from the wool.   Our (very patient) teacher, Tim, had some wonderful examples to inspire us as we began our bases for our baskets:



My favourite one, though, was a very simple flat basket which was made using various naturally coloured woods which are shown off beautifully:



We were a small (but select!) group, and as you can see everyone was concentrating very hard:



And while my basket isn't anywhere near being finished, I did come home with a mistake unique design:



This was meant to be the base of a basket, but I managed to curve mine to such an extent that I had to change course and make it into a bowl rather than a basket.  Still, it'll be good for collecting eggs!
