Scotland has definitely put away it's summer clothes and unpacked the autumn wardrobe. Trees are changing colour every day now, and everywhere you look there are signs of the approaching winter.

These holly berries have yet to turn into the bright red we're so used to seeing on Christmas cards, but they're not far off:

And these lovely dog roses which I photographed earlier in the year have turned into these:

and these leaves reminded me of the words of a song I've been listening to recently ....

"The leaves have lost hold of the branches as always
and leaves us with gold and wine coloured pathways ...."

What about the knitting, I hear you cry! Well, sorry, but things have been decidedly slow on that front. I am still working away at Odette, amongst other things. And I'm feeling decidedly guilty because Juno is STILL not finished, and I'm really not that far off. Just the colour to finish and then sew her up. But a big "thank you" to everyone who was so complimentary about the wedding stole.
