I have begun knitting Joy from the Kim Hargreaves book called Nectar.  Now, of course, I chose the hottest day so far this summer to begin it!  Have you tried knitting with Rowan's Denim yarn, in dark blue, when your hands are hot and sweaty?  Well, this is what happens - you get very blue hands.  I've not done very much - I find I have to pace myself working with pure cotton yarn, as it has no give in it and it hurts my hands if I work with it for too long a stretch - but as proof of actually starting some knitting for a change, I present Joy:

But another reason for joy is that the shop is now fully live.  I'm very excited about it, and I hope you find it easy and friendly to use.  If you don't, do let me know and we'll see what we can do to make it more useable.  Remember, too, that if you are members of either of my yarn clubs you will get your membership discount on yarn purchases in the shop, so once you've registered online, drop me an e-mail to let me know so that I can add a flag to your account to enable the appropriate discount.

Another reason for joy is that all the club yarn has now been posted.  I most apologise that club packages have been sent out a little later than normal.   Everything should be back to normal next month.

And finally, on the subject of things to celebrate, more of Isaac's flock have landed in the UK.  20 sheep will be winging their way to me from the south of England early next week.  They should be available in the shop from the middle of next week.  And I should add, I know that Isaac is now following this blog through the use of an internet cafe, so a huge thank you, Isaac,  for your beautiful handiwork.
