"There was a little girl
Without a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
And when she was good, she was very, very good
And when she was bad, she was horrid"
(With apologies to Longfellow)
My mum got a new toy for Christmas. It gives her the wherewithall to take old 35mm slides and scan them into her computer. And so she found this photograph of me when I was about 7 or 8 with my birthday cake. Mum made the most fantastic birthday cakes. This one looks like it was a pavlova with lashings of cream and strawberries.
I must apologise for the distinct lack of knitting photographs recently. The light just hasn't been conducive to taking good photographs. I've really very nearly finished the February Lady Sweater - honestly! I'm on the last stretch. And Girasole has been finished too, but has yet to be blocked. So with the days getting noticeably longer, I hope to have photographs soon.

I just love these old photos. All mine as a child are in black and white until I am about 17.

My Dad would love a similar device I am sure. I will have to look in to it for him.
