Just a brief note to say I've added some Tencel/Merino Sock yarn, and some Blue Faced Leicester spinning fibre to the shop page. The Tencel/Merino mix is made up of 50% tencel and 50% superwash merino. The fibure is 100% BFL. More will come over the next few weeks.

Fair Exchange?
Thursday, February 26 2009. Assynt
Most days the dogs get a walk up to Lexies Loch or Water Loch, and the route we take means walking past a very old, windswept willow whose roots lie in a small burn. We always stop to keep the old tree company for a little while, as it is all on it's own.It is astonishing that this willow is still […]

Slight delay .....
Sunday, February 22 2009. Blogroll
Sorry, there'll be a slight delay getting the new yarn and fibre up on the site. This weekend has been taken up with adminy type things - not my favourite! Here's a preview of one of the fibres that I'll be dyeing next week. This one was going to go up on the shop, but I decided to spin it up […]

One of those weeks .....

Deserved?
Sunday, February 15 2009. Blogroll
Ambermoggie has kindly given me a Kreative Blogger award. Thank you! You said awfully nice things about both my blog and my yarn. I have to say I thoroughly enjoy writing my blog. It started as a knitting blog (in my head) but quickly grew into something quite different. It has to be said that […]

It's only the 12th February, and some of the overseas members have only just received their club yarn (colourway "By the Fireside"), but already I am receiving photo's from members of either a sock in progress or a completed pair! And yet another blogger has a photo of a finished sock. […]

Winter Lessons
Tuesday, February 10 2009. Links
The cold snap in Scotland continues. The snow is still lying on the ground and the temperature struggles to get above freezing during the day. Despite the cold weather we've had another visitor to the bird feeder corner. A little thrush. She really is so pretty. And what, dear readers, should one […]

Sunday Snow
Sunday, February 8 2009. Scotland
This morning dawned very cold and we awoke to a good dusting of snow. It makes the world look so pretty, especially when the sun is shining, making the snow glisten. Canisp looked like it was a mini volcano this morning, with the snow blowing off the top of it.We had to have a run into Lochinver, […]

Here be snow!
Thursday, February 5 2009. Scotland
Between Stevan's lectures today we've had quite a bit of fun. Fortunately we have a suitable sledging hill close to the house, and Peggy and Lexie are both exhausted from running after the sledge and chasing (and then killing) snowballs. I'm not sure what it is about a snowball that offends a […]

Good Medicine
Sunday, February 1 2009. Knitting
Oh dear, we're not as young as we once were. After two consecutive nights out for dinner with friends, we woke up this morning feeling pretty tired. So we thought the only solution was to head out for a walk. It was a beautiful, sunny, crisp morning, and so we headed to the hills. Peggy and […]
