My yarn clubs have been running for about 18 months now. They have been remarkably successful, and I enjoy doing the club yarn as it gives me the impetus to try something new and different. I always fret that club members will hate the colour in any given month, but I’ve never had anyone say [...] I’ve decided to add a new feature - Sunday Walks. We try and take a Sunday Walk every week, and we try and make it quite a long walk so the dogs (and us!) get a good stretching of the legs and we can justify a breakfast of bacon and egg (that’s for us, not [...] It’s only the 12th February, and some of the overseas members have only just received their club yarn (colourway “By the Fireside”), but already I am receiving photo’s from members of either a sock in progress or a completed pair! And yet another blogger has a photo of a finished sock. So here’s the first [...] On our way to the post office in Lochinver this morning to post yet more sets of Knitpro needles to those of you who have been snapping them up, we passed this rather stately looking gentleman: We were so close we could have touched him. Oh dear, we’re not as young as we once were. After two consecutive nights out for dinner with friends, we woke up this morning feeling pretty tired. So we thought the only solution was to head out for a walk. It was a beautiful, sunny, crisp morning, and so we headed to the hills. Peggy [...] |
